Kromeriz is a town in the Czech Republic on the Morava River, northeast of Brno. The Jewish community was one of the oldest in Europe, dating from 1322. In 1930, the Jewish community numbered 382 (about 12% of the total population). The Jews were deported in 1942, and the synagogue contents were sent the the Central Jewish Museum in Prague. The synagogue of Kromeriz is depicted in the postcard below.
