Auerwerke

 

    Auerwerke was a subcamp of Sachsenhausen located in the Oranienburg area.  The camp consisted of about 1,800 women.  Below is a thumbnail of a postcard from an inmate at Auerwerke postmarked January 17, 1945, and identified in Lordahl as Type Ps314II/09 with a Type C9 censor mark.  Please click on the thumbnail to see the full image, and then click your back key or "Postcard" in the left frame to return.
