General

Ober Alstadt was a subcamp of Gross-Rosen located in Czechoslovakia.  The camp was first established as a forced labor camp in 1941.  At its peak, it consisted of about 1,000 to 1,200 women working in a flax spinning mill for the firms Ettrich, Kluge and Siemens.
