Ranizow was a small town in the Lwow district of Poland. At the start of the war, the Jewish population was about 200. The Germans expelled the Jews to Sokolow and Glogow in July, 1941.

The cover bears a lightly stamped violet Ranizow Judenrat box cancel and a red Judische Kultus Gemeinde Ranizow (German and Polish) cachet on the front and a red circular cachet on the back.
