Jezow is a town in the Lodz district of Poland. On February 1, 1941, the 1,570 Jews then in Jezow (including over 600 refugees) were expelled to the Warsaw ghetto.
Below are thumbnails of the front and back of a postcard sent by Boruch Garfinkel in Jezow to the Judenrat in the Lodz ghetto, postmarked with an undated violet Jezrow box cancel. The message, typewritten in German, asks for the address of his mother, Sima Garfinkel. Please click on the thumbnail to see the full image, and then click your back key or "Postcard" in the left frame to return.
