Grabow, Poland

 

General

    Grabow is a town in the Lodz district.  By 1900, the Jewish community had grown to about 640 (61% of the total population).  By the time of the German invasion, the population had significantly decreased, but, as a result of refugees, the Jewish population increased to over 1,200 by early 1941.  In April, 1942, all the remaining Jews were deported to Chelmno.
